What we collect
- Account: your Google account identifier, email and name, plus the display name and distance units you choose. Google handles your password; Fairway Lab does not receive it.
- Golf history: round dates, courses, tees, scores, putts, penalties, tee results and other recorded scorecard fields.
- Profile and friends: username, friend code, profile photo, visibility settings and friend requests.
- Help requests: the message you submit, its topic and your account information so the site operator can respond.
Scorecard photos and device storage
Scan Scorecard reads images on your device. There is no AI reading service. The browser can keep a local draft and photo to recover interrupted entry. Saving a round clears its draft; signing out also clears the local draft. If original-image storage is enabled on this deployment, the image is uploaded to private Cloudflare storage when you save. Original photos are not included in public-profile views or analytics.
Your browser also caches app files for the home-screen web app. You can remove local drafts, preferences and cached files by clearing site data in your browser. Clearing browser data does not delete saved rounds from your account.
Public profiles and sharing
Profiles start public. Other signed-in golfers can find your profile and view your shared golf statistics, recent round summaries and trends. Public profile settings can also make hole-by-hole scorecards available. Your email and original scorecard photos remain private. Turn off “Enable my public profile” in your profile settings to hide your profile from other golfers. Friend leaderboards include accepted friends.
Sharing a recap image sends the image through the destination you choose. It includes the round information shown in the preview. Review it before sharing.
Cookies and optional analytics
Essential storage supports secure sign-in, your privacy choice, draft recovery and the app cache. Google’s sign-in component may use its own cookies or browser identity features.

Optional analytics are off until you allow them. We count a fixed set of page visits and actions, grouped by day. These counts do not contain your account, email, scores, photos, full URLs, referrer or a unique visitor identifier. They are event totals, not a count of unique golfers. Analytics counts are kept in a 90-day window and older counts are removed by daily cleanup.
You can choose Essential only or change your choice with Cookie preferences at any time. Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals turn optional analytics off. To limit abusive requests, the server temporarily stores a daily hash of the connection address and a request count, separate from analytics, in a seven-day window, with daily cleanup. Cloudflare and Google process connection information under their own policies.
How we use and share information
We use your information to provide the app, protect accounts, save rounds, calculate statistics, show the profile information you share and handle support. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Cloudflare hosts the app, database and optional image storage. Google provides sign-in. Course searches are sent by the server to GolfCourseAPI; they do not include your email or recorded scores. These providers process data according to their own policies. Information may be processed outside your home country. The operator may access stored information as needed for support, security or legal obligations.

Retention, correction and deletion
Your account and rounds remain until you delete them. You can correct a saved round or delete individual rounds. Delete account and data in Account settings removes your account, rounds, uploads, profile, friendships, sessions and help messages from active app storage. Deletion does not retract images you have already shared with others or remove provider backups immediately. A hashed deletion marker may remain to prevent automatic restoration of included legacy history.
Help messages are kept in a 90-day window, with daily cleanup, or until the operator removes them. Operational request counters and infrastructure logs may be retained separately for security and service administration.
Contact and privacy requests
Use Help and privacy requests to contact the Fairway Lab operator, request access or correction, or ask about deletion. If you cannot sign in, use the support email shown in Fairway Lab’s Google sign-in consent details. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Children and changes
Fairway Lab is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact the operator for removal. We update this page when our practices change and show the effective date above.
